Exhibition "Simplicities"
The Fashion & Lace Museum invites you to explore simplicity in clothing. Spanning more than two centuries of history, this new exhibition looks at the times when people favoured purity, practicality, and naturalness in what they wore. Fashion is often associated with luxury, opulence, and novelty. Here, its function as a mirror of cultural and social change is examined. This is a subject that has previously received little attention.

Introductory weekend to lace-making [FR - EN]
Cross, twist, cross, twist, cross... these meticulous, traditional lace-making movements are brought back to life. Spend a weekend learning the art of contemporary lace-making. A first for the museum!
Through experimentation, artist Deborah Lothe will guide you through the practice of bobbin lace-making. Over the course of two days, discover the basics of this technique through three fundamental points and the use of coloured threads... An introduction in small groups combining tradition and personal expression. Each participant will create a unique piece, born from their imagination.

For the first time, the museum is offering Slow Art sessions. Drawing on a selection of works from the exhibition, Christine Ayoub invites you on a journey of hypnotic immersion interwoven with metaphorical tales. A soothing way to discover the simplicity that surrounds us.
