Exhibition "Simplicities"
The Fashion & Lace Museum invites you to explore simplicity in clothing. Spanning more than two centuries of history, this new exhibition looks at the times when people favoured purity, practicality, and naturalness in what they wore. Fashion is often associated with luxury, opulence, and novelty. Here, its function as a mirror of cultural and social change is examined. This is a subject that has previously received little attention.

Through her approach to living history, Emmanuelle—herself in costume—brings this fascinating transition back to life. Join in the fun and come dressed in early 1800s attire!

For the first time, the museum is offering Slow Art sessions. Drawing on a selection of works from the exhibition, Christine Ayoub invites you on a journey of hypnotic immersion interwoven with metaphorical tales. A soothing way to discover the simplicity that surrounds us.
